About us and these terms
MAAUTECH Store is an electronics, solar and networking retailer serving customers in Buea and Douala, Cameroon. We sell phones, laptops, audio devices, network equipment and solar products, and we support what we sell after the sale.
These terms apply to everything you do on this site and to every order you place with us, whether online or with a member of our team. By using the site or placing an order you accept these terms.
They sit alongside our Shipping Policy, our Return Policy and our Warranty, published on this site. Where a product has its own written warranty, that warranty applies in addition.
Using the site and your account
Accurate details
Give us correct, current information, including your name, phone number and delivery address, and update it if it changes.
Keeping your password safe
You are responsible for keeping your password private and for everything done through your account. Tell us at once if someone else may have access.
One account per person
Keep one account in your own name. We may close or combine accounts that are duplicated or misused.
Availability of the site
We try to keep the site running at all times, but we may pause parts of it for maintenance or improvement.
Placing an order and how a contract is formed
- 1
Your order is an offer
When you place an order you are offering to buy at the price shown. It is not yet a contract, and no money is owed until we confirm it.
- 2
We confirm on WhatsApp
We check stock and confirm availability with you on WhatsApp. The contract is formed only when we send that confirmation.
- 3
We may decline an order
We may decline or cancel an order if an item is out of stock, if a price or description was clearly wrong, if we cannot verify payment, or if we suspect fraud. Any payment taken is refunded in full.
Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Central African CFA francs (XAF) unless we say otherwise. Where value added tax applies, it is included in the price shown or noted at checkout.
We may change prices and offers at any time, but a change will not affect a confirmed order. The price you pay is the price in your confirmation.
Payment is made by the methods we offer at checkout, such as mobile money. When you pay by mobile money, only ever enter the reference or code that we or the provider ask for. An order is paid only when we confirm that the payment has reached us. If a payment is reversed, delayed or disputed, we may hold the order until it is resolved.
Delivery
We deliver within Buea, within Douala and to other locations in Cameroon through our delivery partners. Our Shipping Policy sets out delivery areas, charges and estimated times, and forms part of these terms.
Risk in the products passes to you when they are delivered to the address you gave us, or when you collect them from one of our locations. Please check the package on arrival and tell us within one working day about anything missing or damaged, in line with our Return Policy.
Cancellations, returns and warranty
You may cancel an order before we confirm it, and you may contact us to cancel after confirmation if we have not yet dispatched it.
Our Return Policy explains when and how you may return a product and how refunds are handled. Our Warranty page explains the cover that comes with each product and how to make a claim. Both form part of these terms.
What you may not do on the site
Break the law or our site
Do not use the site for anything unlawful, or attempt to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to it.
Misuse other people's accounts
Do not log in as someone else, use another person's details without permission, or interfere with an order that is not yours.
Upload harmful content
Do not post or send anything abusive, false or misleading, or that contains a virus or other harmful code.
Copy or scrape our content
Do not copy, reproduce or automatically harvest our text, images or product data without our written permission.
Our content and intellectual property
All the text, photographs, product images, logos and layout on this site belong to MAAUTECH Store or are used with permission. The MAAUTECH Store name and our marks may not be used without our written consent.
You may view and print pages for your own personal use, and share links to our products, but you may not use our content to build a competing catalogue or for any commercial purpose.
Limits of our liability
We do our best to describe our products accurately and to deliver them in good condition. Where something goes wrong, our first aim is to put it right through the Return Policy or the Warranty, whichever applies.
To the extent the laws of Cameroon allow, we are not liable for indirect losses that are not a foreseeable result of our failure, such as lost profit or lost data. Nothing here limits our liability where the law does not allow it, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Our total liability for any single order is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes to these terms, applicable law and contacting us
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when our services change or when the law requires it. The version that applies to your order is the one published when we confirm it.
These terms are governed by the laws of Cameroon, and applicable Cameroonian law applies to any dispute. If something goes wrong, talk to us first: most problems are settled with a short conversation. If we cannot resolve a matter together, it may be dealt with by the competent courts of Cameroon.
To reach us, message us on WhatsApp at the number below, or ask any member of our team in Buea or Douala. We aim to reply within one working day.
