MAAUTECH Store is a small technology retailer serving Buea and Douala. We are always interested in meeting people who know their products, tell the truth about stock, and finish what they start. This page explains what it is like to work here, the kinds of roles we hire for, and how to apply.
What it is like to work here
We are a small team, so the work you do is visible. There is no layer of managers between you and the customer. If you sell a device, you may also be the person who tests it, hands it over and answers when the customer writes months later. That can be demanding, and it is why people here learn fast.
We care about doing the job properly rather than quickly. Stock is counted and recorded. Devices are inspected and logged. Promises made to customers are written down so they are kept. We would rather take an extra few minutes to check something than rush and get it wrong.
What we look for
Honesty about stock
If we do not have something, say so. If a delivery is late, tell the customer before they ask. Trust is the whole business, and it is built one truthful answer at a time.
Knowing the products
You do not need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be curious. Learn the difference between models, what a customer's work actually requires, and which device will last.
Follow-through
Finish what you start. If you promise to check something and come back, come back. Half-done work costs the customer more than a clear no.

Where people work here
Retail and sales
Advising customers in the shop and online, matching people to devices, and keeping the floor and the listings accurate.
Repair technician
Diagnosing and repairing phones, laptops and accessories, recording every part replaced and every unit returned.
Delivery rider
Getting orders to customers in Buea and Douala safely and on time, and confirming handover with the customer.
Customer support
Answering WhatsApp, tracking orders, handling warranty claims, and following each conversation through to the end.
Social media and content
Showing what we sell, explaining products in plain language, and answering questions where everyone can see the answer.

For many roles we start with a short paid trial so we can both see how it goes. You will be told the terms before you start, and paid for the time.

Do you have open positions right now?
We do not publish a vacancy list. We keep in touch with people whose skills fit the business and contact them when work comes up. Sending your CV now puts you in that group.
Do I need formal qualifications?
For many roles, no. What matters is that you can do the work and that we can trust you with customers and stock. Bring certificates if you have them and tell us what you can do.
Can I apply if I have no experience?
Yes, particularly for apprenticeships and internships. Tell us what you are interested in and what you have taught yourself. Willingness to learn counts for a lot here.
What about salary?
It depends on the role and your experience, and it is a competitive salary discussed at interview, with the terms of any trial work agreed before you start.
